Serving Our Membership

ACFP is involved in various initiatives supporting and advocating for family medicine and family physicians that help make Alberta the best place to practice comprehensive medicine in Canada.

Family Medicine Summit (formerly Annual Scientific Assembly)

In April of 1955, the ACFP hosted its first Sectional Meeting in Red Deer, Alberta. The meeting was later renamed the Annual Scientific Assembly, and in 1959 found a permanent home in Banff, Alberta.
